Lifetime Warranty

Custom Closets warrants its product to be completely free from defects in both materials and workmanship for a period equal to the life of the home, or structure, in which the product is initially installed.

Throughout this warranty period, Custom Closets will, at its option, repair or replace without charge, any Custom Closets products or components thereof which prove to be defective.

This warranty applies only to those products which are both fabricated by and installed by Custom Closets, and its duly authorized technicians. Any products which are simply distributed and/or installed by Custom Closets but not manufactured by Custom Closets shall carry only the express warranties, if any, offered by the original manufacturers of such products.

This product warranty shall not apply if Custom Closets can show that any defect has been caused by, or occurred as a result of: damage by accident, misuse, abuse, misapplication, or unauthorized modification. Proper adjustment of the shelves and hanger rods by the purchaser, in a manner consistent with the design of the product, and in accordance with the instruction provided, shall not constitute unauthorized service or modification and shall not void this warranty.

This warranty shall expire when the original purchaser of this product no longer owns or occupies the home in which the product is initially installed. However, this product warranty may be conveyed to subsequent owners or occupants only if the product warranty is properly transferred as outlined below:

1. All requests for transfer of this warranty must be initiated in writing, and must occur within 60 days of transfer of title;
2. All written requests must include a warranty transfer and processing fee of Forty ($40) Dollars; and,
3. All warranty transfers will include an on-site field inspection of the product, during which Custom Closets will register the new owner or occupant as the most current benefactor of Custom Closets warranty, and Custom Closets will perform any system repairs and/or service as may be needed.

Should Custom Closets not be properly notified of a request for warranty transfer, or not be paid for processing said warranty transfer, or should Custom Closets for reason beyond its control not be able to or allowed to conduct a field inspection and/or perform service as needed, then this Lifetime Warranty shall not be transferred and will be considered void.

Custom Closets shall not be responsible or liable for any occurrences which may arise during any period in which this warranty is allowed to lapse. Specifically, should the original purchaser or most current warranty holder choose not to transfer this warranty upon vacating the home in which the product in initially installed, then this product warranty will be voided until such time that any subsequent owner or occupant elects to transfer this warranty in accordance with the terms above, and until Custom Closets is then provided the opportunity to inspect and service its product.
